We provide native mobile apps for Android and iOS, and CareApp Web, making it easy for you to access CareApp no matter what device you use. This article lists the system requirements for using CareApp
Android App
- An Android phone or tablet running Android 5 (Lollipop, SDK 21) or higher. Lollipop was released in 2014, so any modern Android device should run CareApp just fine
- CareApp works best on devices with at least a 5.1″ display, but will scale to smaller screens
- A working internet connection, either over wifi or mobile network
Permissions
CareApp Android will ask for the following permissions:
- Push notifications, in order to notify you when new content has been posted
- Camera, in order to take photos and videos
- Microphone, in order to record videos
- Location, in order to show nearby communities
- Files, in order to post images from your device’s gallery
iOS App
- an Apple iPhone or iPad running at least iOS 11, so iPhone 5S or newer or iPad Air or newer
- CareApp works best on devices with at least a 5.1″ display, so an iPhone 5S will work, but may feel a little cramped, but an iPhone 6 or newer will be ideal
- A working internet connection, either over wifi or mobile network

CareApp web works in modern web browsers, including:
- Google Chrome (latest version)
- Mozilla Firefox (latest version)
- Apple Safari (latest 2 versions)
- Microsoft Edge (latest 2 versions)
CareApp Web is optimised for computer screens. While you can use CareApp Web on your mobile device, for the best experience we recommend our mobile apps.
