CareApp 2022 – That’s a Wrap!

Hello everyone!

As the year is getting warmer, we are stepping into our annual celebration season. What an exciting time of year it is, and what a wonderful and busy year we have all had!

During this season, we take time to reflect upon all of the good things we have.

One of the things we are really grateful for here at CareApp is our amazing Care Teams!

We want to say a big thank you to all our wonderful care teams for the beautiful care you provide every day. Sharing your care moments on CareApp really spreads joy throughout your care communities and has a lasting ripple effect. You are making such a difference in the lives of many!

Now, let’s shine a bright light on some wonderful individuals that have made a difference in our lives here at CareApp.

Linda Patterson and her care team from Blue Care Bundaberg Pioneer Aged Care Facility.

These amazing people are one of our lucky winners of the CareApp Christmas competition! They posted so many wonderful holiday moments on CareApp and they took home a Christmas hamper filled with lots of chocolate goodies!

This photo of mother and daughter carers (Cheryl and Amber) sent to us at CareApp has put a smile on all our faces. We can really feel the joy and care that your team exudes! Thank you so much for sharing your holiday joy with us!!

Another heart warming moment for us is this photo from Joy Rentsch and the team from Blue Care Hollingsworth Elders Village for the Joy in July competition.

We have absolutely fallen in love with this photo named “Cheeky Moment with Auntie Margo”. The joy this photo radiates is absolutely amazing and made our week. Thank you so much for sharing!

A big shoutout to the team at Lemongrove Gardens, one of our lucky winners of the Joy in July competition.

This photo shows Julie, Linda, Swapna and Donna spreading joy during a COVID lockdown. We think this is absolutely amazing how the Lemongrove Gardens team comes together. The beautiful care really does shine through! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful moment.

These are just three wonderful moments out of so many that have made an impact on us – we absolutely love seeing pictures of our care teams sharing the joy and the beautiful care they provide.

One of our favourite sayings is “a picture is worth a thousand words”. These special moments captured and sent to us at CareApp have made such an impact, we can only imagine how the families feel seeing their loved one’s pictures on CareApp!

Amazing highlights!

In July 2022, the wonderful Kylie Grima from Bethanie Aged Care accepted the ITAC award for Excellence in Software Application Implementation on behalf of Bethanie.

A huge thank you to Therapy and Service Manager, Annette Brown, who shared the CareApp vision and to Kylie and her team who have been fabulous to work with to successfully implement CareApp across 13 Bethanie homes.

In October 2022, CareApp attended the ACCPA conference in Adelaide where we met many interesting and wonderful people, learnt so much about different sectors and solutions in aged care.

One highlight from the conference for us was the contributions to our sticky note board. We wrote the question “Beautiful Care – what does this mean to you?” We received so many insightful words from all over the aged care space.

Some of the words that really stuck out to us are, connection, human, trust, laughter, and nurturing.

But please, take a look for yourself.

Introducing Hula!! One of our own CareApp pups visiting the CareApp office in Adelaide.

“Hula loves to jump in the local dam, even when it’s 5 degrees outside. She loves long walks in the rain (not that she feels it) around her local wetlands, sniffing all the birds, ducks, and rabbits that have been past. She comes into the office once a week, maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and she will always leave you with a parting gift of three months findings of hair.

And of course Pippi, CareApp’s own resident dog!

Pippi loves to be out and about, she often visits our Adelaide office with CareApp’s CEO, Allison, and also loves to take part in other various extracurricular activities!

Pippi is the proud winner of the tricks segment of the Adelaide Dog Show in November 2022, she has been a mascot for “Are you OK?” day at the Adelaide office sporting a yellow bow tie, and has also participated as a cheerleader for her favourite little human’s sports day on the red team!

Thank you so much for such a great year of CareApp. We look forward to sharing many more amazing moments with you.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful, joyful and safe festive season!

Warmly,

Allison and the CareApp Team
