Today is an exciting day and marks a significant milestone in CareApp’s evolution as we launch our updated logo and branding.
Our new brand centres around our bold belief that care should be beautiful. It should be connected, easy and nurturing. It should bring joy and spark smiles.
5 years ago, I made the leap from Occupational Therapist, leading a team of 440 carers, to accidental tech entrepreneur. Like 1.3 million other older Australians, my Grandparents needed a little extra support. My family wanted to be active contributors to their care, but communication was fragmented and visibility about their wellbeing was poor, leading to significant worry, guilt and anxiety.
Whilst on a trip to Melbourne, I zipped over to Geelong to see my Grandad. I snapped a simple photo of my Grandad and I at morning tea and sent it to my Mum. She was so happily surprised at how well he looked! He wasn't a very well man at the time and in fact, this was the last time I ever saw him and the last photo I ever took. But is was so good to know that he was living his last days with a smile, showing off those shiny dentures.
Starting with nothing more than some sketches on a piece of paper, a glass of wine and a strong sense of purpose in 2018 CareApp was born.

Today, CareApp is a multi-award winning and internationally recognised App connecting tens of thousands of care teams and providing families with peace of mind. Our team is still proudly 100% Australian, but has grown from my kitchen to now being spread between Adelaide and Brisbane.

Now, to some of the practicalities. What does this mean for you?
The new branding will mean CareApp will look slightly different with updated colours and logo applied to both the App and Web.
If your care provider has its own branding on CareApp, this will remain and the only change will be the CareApp logo changing on your device. It will now be an orange heart on a purple background.

If your mobile phone and tablet does not automatically update, it will need to be updated by going to the app store on your device and tapping “update”.
Thank you so much for being a part of our journey. It is our users and community like you who have guided CareApp to be one of the most exciting brands in aged care and a leader in care innovation.
Beautiful care really does shine bright!
Warmly,

Allison Nikula
