This week, ScoMo has announced sweeping changes that will impact Aged Care facilities in response to COVID-19 and that the government expects this to last at least 6 months.
Due to coronavirus, we’ve seen some facilities take a proactive approach with full facility lockdowns already in place with others implementing restrictive visiting rules. It’s expected that many other facilities will now follow and implement these new requirements. These visitor controls put even further pressure on an aged care sector and our most vulnerable members of our community.
Last Sunday, CareApp announced free access to the app for all aged care facilities globally, and the free access will continue until the end of this pandemic.
By sharing photos, video/audio, as well as notices, events, and newsletters, the app provides a personalised and reassuring window into the care and wellbeing of loved ones in a similar way to schools and childcare providers that have access to easy-to-use parental communication apps for keeping up to date.
